Screature Interactive Dinosaur by Mattel is a foot tall dinosaur that has yellow eyes, white teeth and big feet with black claws. The ferocious roar the dinosaur makes is just one of over a dozen sounds. Screature is lifelike and intended for children age 4 to 10. It requires three AAA batteries that are included with Screature, so this delightful dinosaur can be played with as soon as the box is opened. Screature is based on the Dilophosaurus dinosaur as seen in the Jurassic Park film The Lost World.

Screature Interactive Dinosaur Toy
Screature has an infrared sensor on its nose, and one on its back. Each sensor performs different functions. If the back is patted, it causes Screature to purr, and patting his nose makes him angry so he will snap. Touching both sensors at the same time will result in him laughing like he is being tickled. There is also a light sensor in Screature’s nose that will put him in the guard mode. He will then be able to detect movement and snap at anyone getting near him.
This feisty dinosaur will actually rear back, unfold his wings, and spit water, often up to 10 feet away. What fun it would be to set him near an object that should not be touched and watch what happens when someone tries to get close to that object. But don’t worry, the water stream is thin and should not cause any damage. Screature Interactive Dinosaur is really a friendly, but ferocious lovable pet. He just likes to have fun and protect his owner.

Screature is not a dinosaur to be messed with. He looks lifelike and makes ferocious sounds. This is what makes him fun. People who love dinosaurs have to have one that is not a cuddly little pet, but instead one that is loyal when he is petted yet very protective of his owner’s possessions. Imagine the surprise when Screature spits water on someone trying to mess with things that don’t belong to them. It’s all in good fun.
The infrared sensors allow his owner to put Screature in the attack mode when necessary. In the guard mode he will roar at people coming in his vicinity. What a little protector Screature can be.

Screature Interactive Dinosaur Consumer Reviews
What most people seem to love best about Screature is that it is fun surprising people with the water squirting and roaring when they come near it. One parent brought one for himself so he could put it on his desk at work. It is a fun toy that kids love as they try to squirt things and each other with water. It is definitely a toy for an older child, as a toddler might find it scary.
One word of caution, several customers said the water squirting did not work, and even when they brought another Screature the new one did not work. It seems that customers have to make sure that the Screature is not in the demo mode, but there were complaints that no matter what they did they could not get the squirting to work more than one or two times. The water reservoir is small and will constantly have to be refilled.
It also seems that each Screature can act and respond differently. Overall, however, kids have a good time with mean little Screature.

Who would love a mean toy? When it is Screature Interactive Dinosaur it is fun to love this ferocious prehistoric creature. Even with the drawbacks like having to fill the water reservoir many times, kids get a kick out of this dinosaur that roars, spreads his wings, and protects their owner’s stuff.
