People of all ages who love the Disney PIXAR Toy Story movies also love the Rex the Roaring Dinosaur. They find the dinosaur pretty realistic, though it is not totally exactly like the movie dinosaur. Customers say Rex is about as realistic as can be, and the fact that they actually have Wallace Shawn, the actor who did the voice in the movie, programmed for the dinosaur voice is an added exciting benefit. The plastic that the toy is made of is high quality, and the texturing of the skin is well done. Serious collectors find that Rex is one of the better renditions in the collectable series.
On the other hand, one customer felt that the toy was too much of a collector’s item and not much fun to play with. The packaging instructs people to not try and move the arms and head as they may break, so it was not too easy to actually play with the dinosaur. The tail does come separate and is not connected to the dinosaur; it has to be added because the switch to turn the dinosaur on and off is under the base of the tail.
